In light of the spam issue on its social networking platform, Google has announced that it’s rolling out a new tool for community moderators. Dubbed “Remove, report, and ban,” the company hopes that this will help to curb the swill problem on Google+.
Carter Gibson, the Program Manager for Google+, announced the new option for moderators. Accessed via the overflow menu in a post, selecting this option will remove the offending person and spam content, report said content for review, and prevent that person from rejoining the group.
