If you enjoy a juicy public relations screw-up, then grab your spirituous drink of choice and take a seat: this one’s a doozy.
Our tale begins in the far-off year of 2013, when Android Police readers noticed an unlikely uptick in the amount of five-star reviews on the Play Store for BlackBerry’s new BBM app. Less than 24 hour after the app’s initial appearance more than 60,000 positive reviews were left for the new messenger service, many with the same cut-and-paste praise:
Thanks BlackBerry – thank you so much BlackBerry Team its really great user friendly and smooth.
