We’ve been hearing for some time now that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL would have either the Snapdragon 835, Qualcomm’s current flagship chipset, or a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 836. However, it turns out that there was never a Snapdragon 836 in the first place.
Speaking to a source familiar with Qualcomm’s plans, we can confirm that there are not, nor have there ever been plans for a ‘Snapdragon 836,’ as has also been reported by XDA Developers.
Qualcomm has no plans for a Snapdragon 836, despite Pixel 2 rumors claiming otherwise was written by the awesome team at Android Police.
