Back in May, Amazon unveiled the Echo Show, an Alexa-powered Echo speaker with a touchscreen. One of its features was searching for YouTube videos, until Google blocked it due to an unspecified Terms of Use violation on Amazon’s part.
Now the functionality has been restored by Google and Amazon. However, the implementation is much different. Asking Alexa to open YouTube used to show a series of horizontally-scrolling videos, and tapping on one would open it in full-screen mode.
